Back from travels

Shutterstock
I am back from my travels and enjoying a bit of R&R before I start my new job later this month.

I am currently staying at a beach house that doesn't have a phone line, let alone internet so I haven't had a chance to look at how things have gone over the past couple of months. Hopefully I will get to do that shortly.

In the past 5 months, I have travelled to 4 continents, 20 countries, crossed the artic circle, crossed the equator a multitude of times by various forms of transport (plane, boat, truck) and taken over 7,600 photos and seen many more millions of amazing things.

Over the next few months, I plan to start editing photos to get up online with the hope of doubling my Microstock earnings. After that, and with little prospect of travel in the next few years (have to settle down at some point) I will slow down on microstock, just focusing on NZ scenery and icons (though I dont think there is much of a market for this stuff).

I will get up my performance figures for November and December shortly. Then once I get back into regular life, I will resume regular posts with news and opinions on what is happen in Microstock.

Hi, Have you been able to do all that travel on earning from selling your photography? Or was it just a nice exuse for a working holiday that you will write off at tax time?
Also, thanks for sharing your earnings percentage breakdowns, I find them informative - look forward to you resuming regularly posting.
All the best!

Hi there, I dont currently do microstock professionally, it is just a hobby. I quit my full time job in London and then spent 5 months travelling and am just about to start a new job in New Zealand.

I do know of others that do this full time and whne they do go travelling, they do claim all the expenses.
